301) VINTAGE GENUINE BLACK CRYSTAL STERLING ROSARY, LONG, HEAVY, STURDY- Perfect for a man - This handsome Catholic rosary is made of genuine black crystal beads which are very rich and lively. The necklace part measures 33 inches long; the dangling part from the Center Medal to the tip of the Cross measures 8 1/4inches. The cone faceted beads measure 8mm and they have circular caps at the ends. There are unique filigree spacers. The Cross has a lot of detail with a handsome Corpus. It measures 2 1/4 by 1 1/2 inches and is inscribed "Sterling" in the reverse. The Center Medal measures 3/4 inch and shows Mary on one side Jesus on the other side. It is also inscribed "sterling.". The rosary weighs a hefty 50.7 grams.This is a handsome genuine crystal rosary which dates to the 1950s. It is heavy, long and well made and should last a lifetime. $175

302) HANDSOME STURDY ANTIQUE DECO BLACK CRYSTAL ROSARY - Perfect for a man - This is a handsome rosary that hails from the Deco era, or the 1930s. It is made of black cut crystal beads, with each bead measuring 6 mm; each bead is multifaceted giving the crystal beads more life in reality. The necklace part measures 23 inches; the dangling part measures 7 1/2 inches. It weighs 26.2 grams. The metal is brass. The Cross measures 1 by 2 inches; the Center Medal measures 2/3 inch and shows the profile of Jesus on one side, and Mary holding Jesus on the reverse. This rosary is well made with sturdy links to prevent breakage. It is in great condition and will make an excellent daily rosary for a devotee, a man perhaps. $79

303) ANTIQUE MINIATURE JET ROSARY -Our source told us this rosary is made of the same material as Whitby jet; we have not tested the beads. Whitby jet is a semi-precious gemstone of organic origin. It is a hard black substance, closely allied to coal. It is the fossilized wood of ancient trees that flourished 180 million years ago. The romans called Jet "Black Amber."The beads are small and irregular, measuring 3mm each. They have a lusterThe necklace part measures 15 inches; the dangling part from the Center Medal to the tip of the Cross measures another 4 inches. The rosary weighs 8.3 grams. The Cross is small, measuring 1/2 by 3/4 inch. The reverse is inscribed, "Souvenir du Mission." The Center Medal measures 1/2 inch. On one side it shows the initials AM, for Ave Maria. And the other side shows the full image of Mary with surrounding inscriptions, "Souvenir du Mission." This is a rare miniature rosary. $179

304) GENUINE AMBER ROSARY FROM POLAND - This rosary was acquired in Poland. It is made of genuine Baltic amber and silver (not marked as sterling, and not tested). The beads are irregular in shape, making for a very charming effect. Each bead is approx. 8mm in size. The necklace part measures 32 inches, and the dangling part from the center medal to the tip of the cross is 6 3/4 inches. The rosary weighs 30.7 grams. The amber beads have very lovely and lively lemon color. $59

305) ANTIQUE 1920S DECO FRENCH CORNFLOWER-BLUE ROSARY - From France this lovely blue glass rosary with unique brass spacers. The Cross and Center Medal are also made of brass. The necklace part measures 23 inches all around. The dangling part from the Center Medal to the tip of the Cross is 6 5/8 inches. Each blue oval faceted bead measures approx. 5 mm; the brass spacers measure approx. 5 by 6 mm and show the image of Mary one side and Jesus on the other. The Center Medal measures 12 mm and shows the image of Mary on one side; the reverse is blank. The Cross measures 3/4 inch by 1 1/2 inches. The color of the beads is softer, more with a violet tone, thank the picture shows - like a cornflower blue. The rosary weighs 15.9 grams. This is a lovely sample of French Deco rosary work. $149, SOLD, thank you!

306) ANTIQUE 1910 ROSARY, FROM LOURDES, FRANCE, MADE OF RARE ART GLASS - This is a rare antique rosary from the early 1900s, made of art glass that looks like Tiger Eye. The rosary has unique Pater medals. Each Ave Maria bead measures 5 mm; the necklace part measures 23 inches all around. The dangling part from the Center Medal to the tip of the Cross is another 7 1/4 inches. The rosary has medals before each Pater bead. The connecting medal measures 8mm and each one has a different religious image: Mary holding Baby Jesus, St. Christopher carrying Baby Jesus, another saint holding Baby Jesus, Jesus pointing to His Sacred Heart, and more. The unique Cross measures 3/4 by 1 1/4 inches and the front has a handsome Corpus and very nice details at the ends of the Cross. The reverse is inscribed, "Souvenir de Lourdes." The Center Medal measures 10mm and shows the image of Mary in front, while the reverse shows Bernadette kneeling in front of Our Lady in the grotto. The rosary weighs 16.7 grams. This a rare antique rosary. $299

307) GENUINE PEARL ROSARY WITH STERLING CROSS AND CENTER MEDAL- We acquired some beautiful rosaries made of luscious fresh water pearls. This rosary is bronze-green in color, with beautiful peacock undertones. The pearls vary in size slightly, but each pearl is approx. 5 mm by 8mm. The Cross and Center Medal are made of sterling silver metal. The Center Medal has the Ave Maria design with a crown on thetop. The back of the Cross is inscribed, "Sterling" and "A Papa de Denise" and also some numbers: 12 12 49. The handsome Cross measures 1 1/4 inch by 1 1/2 inches. The rosary weighs 41.3grams. The necklace part measures 21 inches; the dangling part is 5 3/4 inches. This is a lovely new rosary perfect of a wedding or First Communion gift. $69

308) CLASSIC BLACK CRYSTAL ROSARY FROM SIENA, ITALY- This is a handsome black crystal rosary. The crystal beads have a rich black color with undertones of other lovely colors. Each bead measures approx. 6mm. The necklace part measures 24inches; the dangling part is 5 1/4 inches long. The Center Medal shows Catherine of Siena in front and the reverse has a flower. This rosary is bronze-green in color with beautiful peacock undertones. The pearls vary in size slightly, but each pearl is approx. 5 mm by 8mm. The Cross and Center Medal are not marked but they are made of sterling silver metal. They are both small in size. The Center Medal has the Ave Maria design in filigree work. The back of the Cross is inscribed, "Per D. N. De Lourdes." The handsome Cross measures 1 1/3 inch by 7/8 inch. The rosary weighs 36.6 grams. 310) GENUINE CARNELIAN ROSARY FROM JERUSALEM - This rosary is made of genuine carnelian beads, measuring approx. 6mm each. The necklace part measures 26 inches long; and the dangling part from the center medal to the tip of the cross is another 6 inches. The rosary weighs 31.5 grams. Some beads have slight variation in color. Carnelian is a gemstone that has been around for thousands of years. The ancient Egyptians used carnelian.
